Elks Lodge 307 partners with Claymont Community Center for the 2025-2026 Elks Hoop Shoot

Our Vision

Elks Lodge 307 is extremely proud to partner with this year's Event Host the Claymont Community Center.  The partnership forged will bring an Event space that can house the many children of our community and give them a safe and instructional space to perform the Hoop Shoot requirements.  Claymont Community Center is a staple within the Delaware Community and a place that we can all enjoy as a community.  Through our Hoop Shoot competitions, we aim to inspire community participation and foster a love for the sport among our community youth. We strive to create an inclusive environment that encourages skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, making basketball and community accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Event Details -  Upon arrival and registration acknowledgement, each youth attending will have 10 minutes to shoot around and warm up until the 9:00am hour.  The 8-9 year old boys and girls will then begin the Elks Hoop Shoot contest at their respective ends of the basketball court.  After the 8-9 year olds have completed, the 10-11 year olds will then shoot and then the 12-13 year olds until round 1 is fully completed.  Each contestant will shoot 10 baskets from the designated free throw line during round 1.  We will then enter Round 2 where the 8-9 year olds will shoot, 10-11 year olds and then the 12-13 year olds will shoot 15 baskets from their designated free throw line to complete round 2.  If there is a tie in total number of baskets made then there will be a shoot off, the rules of the shoot off will be explained at that time to ensure all participants are aware of the rules.  Please click on the link at the bottom of the webpage labeled Elks Lodge 307 Hoop Shoot, the link will take you directly to the Elks.org webpage that will have all the Hoop Shoot rules and regulations that will be administered and followed on the day of this event.

Thank You and Have Fun.
